What will Swan Removals and Storage do for me?
Before you move, Swan Removals and Storage will visit your home to assess the volume of goods you intend to take and to provide a free quotation. If you choose Swan Removals and Storage when moving to Canada, Swan Removals and Storage will wrap and pack your belongings and arrange to transport them by sea to Canada, where our local agent will arrange customs clearance and delivery of your consignment.

FCL or (Full Container Load)
Your household effects will be export wrapped at your home and loaded into a 20ft or 40ft container and transported directly to the docks to await the next scheduled sailing. Swan Removals and Storage's freight forwarding operation will liaise with our local trusted agents in Canada. Our agent will help clear your goods through customs and deliver them to your new home.

Groupage (Shared services)
Your effects are export packed at your home on an agreed date and transferred to our international warehouse for onward transport to your new home.
You will effectively 'share' a container with another Swan Removals and Storage customer moving to Canada. This is a cost effective and ideal service if you are taking a smaller shipment, as you only pay for the space your goods use in the container.

What happens with customs clearance?
If you are emigrating to Canada from the UK, you must be aware of the customs regulations that apply. Your move co-ordinator will be happy to provide advice. Our agent in Canada will provide assistance through the customs clearance process and, once completed, will carry out final delivery and unpacking at your new home.

What about storage and insurance when moving to Canada?
If at any point you require storage, Swan Removals and Storage provides a professional storage service in both the UK and Canada, which can be arranged through your Move Co-ordinator.
